Chrysoprase, chrysophrase or chrysoprasus is a gemstone variety of chalcedony that contains small quantities of nickel. Its color is normally apple-green, but varies to deep green.

Chrysoprase helps to make conscious what was unconscious. It strengthens the workings of insight and the higher consciousness.

encourages hope and joy – helps clarify problems – has been used as a cure for restlessness – protection on sea voyages

Chrysoprase is said to be the favorite gemstone of Alexander the Great.

Chrysoprase is used to speed the healing of any wound. It should not be placed on the body, but held over the affected area. Carry a Chrysoprase in a pocket to help heal. Also keep a Chrysoprase close to your bed at night to speed healing.

The best known sources of chrysoprase are Queensland, Western Australia, Haneti Tanzania, Germany, Poland, Russia, Arizona, California, and Brazil. Deposits in central Tanzania have been in constant production since 1986.

Peridot is gem-quality olivine, which is a silicate mineral.

This stone is one of the few gemstones that occur in only one color: an olive-green. The intensity and tint of the green, however, depends on the percentage of iron that is contained in the crystal structure, so the color of individual peridot gems can vary from yellow, to olive, to brownish-green.

Peridot is mentioned in many ancient references as chrysolite. It is mentioned throughout the Bible, and early Christians considered it sacred. Today still, Catholic Bishops traditionally wear a ring of peridot and a-methyst as a symbol of purity and morality.

Peridot olivine is mined in USA, Australia, Brazil, China, Egypt, Kenya, Mexico, Myanmar, Norway, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Tanzania.

Peridot crystals have been collected from some pallasite meteorites.

Turquoise is a variety of alumina phosphate easily recognizable by its blue and sometimes greenish colour. The main deposits are currently located in China, the United States, Mexico and Tibet.
Known in Europe at the time of the Crusades, its name would come from “Turkish stone”, because it is in Turkey that the Europeans found it (and this although the mineral was imported from Iran, where it is called “Firouzé”). She gave her name to the turquoise blue colour.
Symbolically, turquoise represents for Tibetan Buddhism the material and spiritual richness, when combined with red coral. For Muslims it represents spiritual power. This stone has the ability to be protective, it has been used by many cultures as an amulet for thousands of years.
In both Aztecs and Persians, the stone was a symbol of wealth and prestige.
In the United States the turquoise deposits were located in California, Nevada and also in Mexico, hence the tradition of Native American Ethnic jewellery.
