Necklace TARA Sky
In TARA Sky, I worked with the delicate interplay of form and open space. Fine lines give shape to the necklace while letting the light through. The round amazonite stones, in their exceptional blue, gave this version its name: Sky.
Wear it against the skin or over a shirt, like a distinctly feminine necktie. Its fine structure and fresh colours express a lightness I feel deeply connected to: lightness as a strength of spirit. A true Ziio signature.
The inspiration
The original Tara necklace is a tribute to Tara, a lively Thai girl, espiègle, and the daughter of Jacques, a French jeweller and friend of mine who founded a jewellery brand in Thailand.
Thai culture has always been a source of inspiration for me. The warmth and tolerance I encountered there gave me a positive setting for my work. I find something of that spirit in Tara: freedom in the drawing and lightness in the form.
TARA Sky begins with an original drawing and is crafted using the Ziio technique.
